yar well this is technically not really my first bike, and let me correct you - LAKHS of aunties out there ride bikes- the difference is probably that they got a bloke in front.
and oh there are a few hundreds I see blokeless on Scootys and Mopeys so maybe its not that radical after all. Just like me they got tired of being squeezed in buses...:-)

Chandrika, remember to be ever vigilant. Learn your bike well before you have to be watching all the crazies trying to hit you.
If you drop this bike it will lay flat on the ground and be hard to pick up. Can you get some hard bags for it?
Love your wit and humour.

I managed to charm one gentleman into drilling 4 holes into my number plates- and I actually screwed them on myself with the CORRECT size of NUT. now I feel wildly independant and all that....
oh and in the meanwhile - I do know how to ride the thing too...!

by popular request....The add that got me 79 calls a day...

Image
…for three days till I had to switch that phone off , plus about 55 texts, mostly with awful spelling which turns me off, 35 insincere expressions of interest from already married dudes, 20 rude suggestions from teenage dudes, 7 really nice new friends , 3 freelance-job offers from advertising sector people and 2 genuine marriage proposals ….in spite of the fact that I had said “ please text ”. Above numbers are approximate but certainly not exaggerated and I still occasionally get a call about this add, probably from someone who is reading an old paper wrapping his lunch or just before he cleans up some cat- poo… In answer to your next question, Im still single and picky.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

But hello, some of us prefer oxygen… And so pretty soon itll be Valentines Day. And let me warn you smug, settled twosomes out there, as you wait in anticipation of that sickening waist thickening box of chocolates or the bourgeois frigid roses imported from Copenhagen, which could single – rosedly fund a meal for twenty five local IDP’s….. – that I’m about to attack your comfortable bubble of contentment, and rather rudely at that. And lest you conclude that I am commenting with the jaded attitude of someone who cant get into this rosy state, let me declare that I have been there, done that Ive reached that stage where I actually find it funny(thats Ally for you) which could be why, the last time someone extremely suitable gathered up the courage to propose suit to me, I actually burst into helpless laughter and had to change the subject in case he took offence. (You can be sure he didn’t do it again) Its not that I have any thing against romance, its just that there are so many excel...

hola , mes amigos or whatever Yours truely has decided to start writing again somehow and my new buddy Nury Bey is helping - any potential writers out there please help us put out this joint venture... Inspired by such greats as MURDER in the LIBRARY and MURDER IN PETTAH ...the title we picked was MURDER IN COLOMBO which sounded kind of cool but then since I felt the word murder just didnt define all the excitement here I had to change it to - MURDER ,RAPE ,ARSON and SUNDRY TRAFFIC OFFENSES in COLOMBO ...but its still open to your good suggestions - you decide- anyway from now *we will be trying to write a action adventure mystery novel set in red hot colombo - ... the production so far : Lets base it on an estate.a spooky but valuable old house. I know a vigilante- he hacked to death a child molester and buried him in his backyard or something… Dark , eh? Work with me you never know – we could be the next batman and robin, or tarzan and jane or Wallace and Grommit *till I get bored ...
